Methodology
How the league works
The ultimate cross-league competition. We reframe the World Cup by shifting the rivalry to international club sides. Every player contribution earns points, turning World Cup matches into a club-level competition.
Scoring
Points mirror the official FIFA World Cup Fantasy system. Goalkeepers and defenders earn more for goals and clean sheets; midfielders and forwards earn more for involvement higher up the pitch. Bonus points (BPS) are not modelled because our data feed doesn't expose the underlying inputs. Own goals are similarly absent from the per-player feed, so the −2 own-goal deduction is defined but does not currently fire.

How a club is scored
A club's total is the sum of points from every one of its current players, across every World Cup fixture played so far. Players who have not yet appeared contribute zero.
Data
Match data comes from API-Football. The leaderboard updates automatically after every completed fixture, with in-progress scores refreshed roughly once a minute while matches are live.
